DHW closed qualifier teams found

The open part of the DreamHack Zowie Open Winter qualifier has been played out, deciding the eight teams that will be joining the eight invited teams in the closed part of the qualifier that starts this Sunday.

Out of the 512 teams that participated in the open qualifier, the likes of PENTA, Rogue and DarkPassage made it through - with Buğra "⁠Calyx⁠" Arkın's team eliminating their countrymen in Space Soldiers in one of the most interesting upsets of the qualifier.

Three Spanish teams made it through as well - k1ck, EU4IA and KPI, with the Poles of PRIDE and iNation (featuring Viktor "⁠flashie⁠" Tamás Bea and Nemanja "⁠huNter-⁠" Kovač) finishing of the list.

With the open part of the qualifier finished, the closed part will kick-off tomorrow at 12:00. The playoff will be played in a single-elimination best-of-three format until only two teams are left - meaning they have qualified for DreamHack Zowie Open Winter 2016.

DreamHack Zowie Open Winter 2016 will feature a $100,000 prize pool and take place from November 24-27. When the qualifier is finished, DreamHack will announce the remaining six teams that will compete at the event.
